Doodle to Real Deal: Photobooth & Flipbook Styling

While I can admire fine art, I have no skills myself. This however never stops me from doodling ideas in my head for clients. The sketches are often labelled in my files as “ghetto sketch of photobooth” or “ghetto sketch of chandelier wall”, and “diagram ghetto”. Yet I still love pulling out these old drawings to compare them to the real life production of something made up in the stirrings of my brain.

A recent wedding trend we’ve fully embraced is the art of super-styling out the backdrop to a photo opp moment for wedding guests. Instead of the old dreary backdrop of a photobooth, an entire scene is set to create interesting interactive imagery. For this particular wedding we hired A Little Scene Flipbook to create their fabulous little flipbooks assembled on-site. Up to me, was the styling of the backdrop. We decided our stylish bride needed a glamorous looking boudoir. With the help of Archive Vintage Rentals and Concepts draping I made my drawing come to life.
