Ever After: Shannon & Joe

An elegant elementary school teacher and a laid back Molecular Biologist, what a duo! The mash-up design for these two starts with a classic black & white color palette accented with natural greenery. We give a nod to the glamorous school teacher by bringing in chalkboards for ceremony program, table names, table assignments, and menus, all fancied up in white vintage frames. A nod to the scientist, we named each table element after our own love-inspired version of the periodic table. The wedding is every bit the classic elegant wedding Shannon dreamed up with little touches of whimsy woven throughout. La Costa’s gorgeous green golf course is the perfect backdrop for a white draped chuppah ceremony. The reception has fresh white linens contrasted with sharp black chivaris. Each table has a stunning silver candlelabra with dripping crystals. Capturing the romantic mood the florals are filled with white peonies, garden roses and hydrangea. A glossy white dance floor looked amazing but no one would know as Wayne Foster had guests on the dance floor from the first moment the reception started till the last note was sung.

Sweet & Sparkly

Kids in a candy store. When a magazine asks us to design a tabletop with an amazing team of vendors styling any way we’d like. Yay! Yes, please! Combining our current obsessions: aqua, glitter an an addiction to Bouchee’s buttercream, we created a tabletop we call “Sweet & Sparkly”. A crisp and clean but super glam table setting. Light shades of gray, silver, white and pale aqua keep the look fresh. A little sparkle goes along way so we chose one element to be the superstar, the spectacular sequin La Tavola linen. All other details are soft and subdued. The result is an elegant vibe vs. cheesy disco ball effect. Other details such as crystal candlesticks, napkin rings, and ghost chairs twinkle in the daylight. Let your love shine! (…and let them eat cake)
